John Valceanu practices photography as a way of life and as a path to understanding. He spent more than a decade as a military photojournalist, covering operations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia. He also worked as a photo editor for several military magazines and websites. An avid shooter since he was a child, he started photography as a fine art while an undergraduate student at Sarah Lawrence College.
